What is the SkyArmor Plus™ program? SkyArmor™ Plus is a Factory Supplemental Limited Warranty offered as an additional feature of Qualified Skyjacker ® suspension kits. SkyArmor™ may provide for repair or replacement of failure drive train components your OEM warrantor may refuse to cover. (See SkyArmor Plus™ terms for covered components, exclusions and limitations). Your Skyjacker® Limited Warranty continues to cover your Skyjacker® suspension kit. (See Skyjacker® limited Warranty terms).
How much does SkyArmor Plus™ cost? There is no additional cost. It is Skyjacker’s way of supporting your choice and loyalty of our products.
How can I apply for the SkyArmor Plus™ Program? First, buy a Qualified Skyjacker® suspension kit and have it properly installed by an approved independent dealer or shop. (See Skyarmorplus.com for list). Second, complete and send in an application card, describing your vehicle, your suspension and confirming coverage under your OEM drive train Limited Warranty. Our warrantor, SkyArmor Plus™, LLC will confirm your application meets program requirements and notify you of acceptance.
Is there a waiting period to apply for the SkyArmor Plus™ Program? Make your application when your Qualified Skyjacker® suspension is installed. In fairness, however, we don’t cover pre-existing problems or failures. Meaning there is a sixty day (60) waiting period from installation to when your application may be accepted and coverage begin. (See SkyArmor Plus™ terms for covered components, exclusions and limitations).
Is the SkyArmor Plus™ Program for new and used vehicles? YES, so long as you are the original purchaser of the Qualified Skyjacker suspension, the kit is properly installed by an approved independent dealer or shop and your new or used vehicle has remaining coverage under your OEM drive train Limited Warranty.
How long is my vehicle covered? When your application is accepted your new or used vehicle is, subject to terms of the SkyArmor™ program, covered from sixty (60) days after installation until the earlier of: (1.) expiration of the original OEM drive train limited warranty covering the vehicle, (2.) 100,000 miles from date of new vehicle purchase or lease, (3.) five (5) years from the original in-service date of the vehicle upon which the Skyjacker® Qualified Kit is originally installed. If I sell my vehicle, is the SkyArmor Plus™ Program transferrable? YES. Upon written request to SkyArmor Plus™, LLC. Again, to be fair, SkyArmor™ may ask for verification of remaining OEM drive train warranty and acceptable proof of vehicle condition, service and maintenance history.
Will the SkyArmor Plus™ program cover my vehicle if I install a qualified suspension? Most of the OEM’s current suspension designs are sophisticated and tied into sensitive vehicle stability controls. For this reason, even if you are a good wrench, we recommend installation by a qualified dealer and shop. At this time SkyArmor Plus™ coverage is only available for qualified Skyjacker® suspension kits properly installed by an approved independent dealer or shop. (See Skyarmorplus.com for list).
